      • 4 4 years ago, by @MrBigWiener48 The Magicians. First 3 seasons are in Netflix and the most recent season is on YouTube TV if you have that. Really good show that's a slightly different take on magic than I've seen before where magic comes from pain and tragedy. So your main character is a clinically depressed magician somewhat obsessed with a fantasy series that plays a VERY large roll (seriously Fillory could be it's own character at points) who finds out that Magic is in fact real. Its a fairly heavy show at times but is weirdly self aware/4th wall breaking in the best ways. At some point they are trying to figure out where to start a quest and they meet a "guy" who tells them that the quest cannot be completed in the (summer) season. The quest would take at least a few seasons to They all but look at the camera it's great. Also there is eye candy galore for really any taste. Alice, Kady, Elliot, Penny, Julia, hell even the Dean if you're into that.
